Originally, GroboUtils was released under the LGPL. However, due to
hard-to-read language included in the LGPL, and many people's concerns
over the possible viral nature of the LGPL (and the Free Software Foundation's
comments that covering Java code under the LGPL is the same as putting it
under the GPL), the
author moved the license over to the MIT license on February 10, 2003.
